What causes poor blood circulation?

Restricted flow of blood in the body is called poor circulation. The symptoms for this is numbness or cramps in hands and legs.

Over time, however, symptoms also present as coldness in the limbs, extreme tiredness in the legs or even all over, pain in the limbs, redness and swelling, water retention, headache, sleep interruption, skin ulcers, loss of libido and even loss of mental acuity.

When there is limited amount of blood flow in body, then a person will get these symptoms. All the organs in the body need adequate blood for the better supply of oxygen. When the organs do not get adequate blood the oxygen supply will also come down. This may lead many problems.

Poor circulation of blood for a long time may lead to high blood pressure (hypertension) and may damage the organs. This damage can lead to blindness, stroke and heart attack. Moreover, this can cause blood clots, which may lead to stroke.

So, what causes poor circulation?

The most common causes are atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries), obesity, inactivity (oftentimes goes hand in hand with obesity), diabetes, varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis.

High blood pressure can lead to narrowing of arteries and narrowing of arteries can lead to high blood pressure. That is the reason why sometimes high blood pressure is the cause and a side effect of poor circulation.

Diabetes has its own complications because its side effects include both small blood vessel damage (this is why amputation is so often a result of untreated diabetes) and water retention. Both of these have been proven to lead to high blood pressure.

Rectify poor circulation and high blood pressure with a healthy diet like the Manna Diet, exercise, drink enough water each day and take a supplement to increase blood flow, like the Manna Blood Circulation Support.
