Decisions – a soapy about life changing moments!
It is very early in the morning, not a sound outside, no car driving by, no dog barking; even the sea has decided to go to sleep. I wake up in pain, my hands are swollen, and I am NOT feeling well. My joints are aching, I can barely move, I’m irritable and just plain upset with all of this.
For the past few days my energy levels have been below zero and I KNOW exactly why! Too much bread, homemade pasta (ouch . . . once you’ve eaten that you will NOT eat any other pasta), ciabatta, red velvet cake, not even a glass of water a day, no fresh vegetables, even a pizza twice this past week! Oh my, is this really all I put into my almost diabetic body? What am I doing to myself, to my inside and my outside? I’ve never been skinny, but I know that by losing just a few kilograms I will feel better, be able to run up the stairs quicker and to start kayaking.
It’s time for ME to make a decision, about my life, my health and my future. I am a mother of a three year old boy. I have a busy creative schedule and I really don’t need these ailments in my life. BUT, only I can do something about it.
After a few pleasant discussions, a few laughs, a few “what is going to happen next” after reading a few of my writings, we decided to bring the real life to life via the world wide web. We are going to create an online soapy where characters with similar problems will share their day to day hassles, their challenges and the decisions they are, or maybe NOT going to make.
By knowing what is wrong, by being told in simple words what is really happening in one’s body it is much easier to go ahead and decide to start today. You will get to know Larry who suffers from excessive gout; he can barely get up some mornings. How will he change his lifestyle? Will he cut down on red wine and a nice juicy steak? Does he really know what is going on in his big toe?
Eladorah’s daughter is writing her mom a letter, “Mom, you’ve changed! I don’t’ know you anymore! You forget! You snap so easily these days! Is it me? What have I done?” Eladorah is 47 years old and Me No Pause is changing her life without her knowing it.
Then my two personal darlings, Louise and Suzanne, they enjoy a good cup of coffee almost every day at a different coffee shop. When there conscious starts discussing their food intake with them they will make small changes, use sweetener and have just one slice of cake, but that is it! They enjoy fooling each other; they normally have their discussions early morning on Facebook, one their families have gone their ways for the day.
You will get to know a few other characters as well, they might talk to you personally, even tell you directly what to do, but the decision to change your lifestyle, the decision to acknowledge will remain yours.
